THE HASKINS-STRAND FISH SCALER HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED. NO PARTS ARE AVAILABLE.
The HS was made by Northrock. It differed from the Northrock scaler by having a different hand piece, drive cables (Standard and HD), and connections to the motor and the hand piece. The motor, head, casing and tools are the same. The Northrock is an improvement with less complicated parts.
YOU CAN UPGRADE YOUR HASKINS-STRAND TO A NORTHROCK.
To change your Haskins-Strand machine to a Northrock you disconnect all parts leading to the scaling head and replace it with either the Northrock SD Complete Scaling Head or the Complete HD Scaling Head.
The difference between Standard duty and Heavy Duty is in the thickness of the drive shaft cable called the core. SD is 5/16" and HD is 3/8". They are not interchangeable. They use Northrock parts. All Northrock parts are available.
